Sandy Bay Surfing Photos
6/03/09I really thought the algae bloom would have been broken up and gone after the decent blow we just had, but as you will see in the photo above this was not the case!
Despite the lousy conditions for photographing with a heap of haze, sea spray and bloom I still managed to photograph a bit of the surfing action. There was the occasional nice wave breaking but generally the ocean looked like a big washing machine.
Talking to one of the surfers, he mentioned the caution they were all taking due to the recent visit of a 5 metre Great White to the area when it decided to eat a local fishermans sea anchor attached to their boat, can't say I blame them for being cautious I certainly would be!
Anyway you can view all the photos from the day by clicking the link here surfpix website which will take you directly to my gallery on the surfpics website.
Until next time, happy surfing.
